Responsibilities
We are looking for an exceptional individual to join our research team as a Head of ESG Risk Research. The person will be in charge of designing, implementing, and maintaining analytical models that measure the financial impact of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) issues on a wide range of financial securities and markets. The person will work closely with other research, product management, and data science teams.
The main responsibilities of this role include,
  • Assess market dynamics and update, as needed, Clarity AI's understanding of how ESG issues impact risk for different types of securities in different industries and markets
  • Research and develop risk methodologies contributing to Clarity AI products
  • Represent Clarity AI as a thought leader in conferences, external events, and strategic client meetings
 

Requirements

Qualifications
· Advanced degree (Master or PhD) in finance, mathematics, statistics, operations research, physics or another quantitative discipline.
· At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in the investment management industry, preferably in risk.
· A critical thinker with attention to detail, intellectual curiosity and the ability to work with large data sets.
· Self-starter who will thrive in a start-up setting by taking ownership and initiative.
· Decisive and action oriented who can get things done, make rapid decisions even when short of information, and has a high level of energy and stamina.
· Significant experience with Python or R is a plus. Preferably in risk modelling.
· Complete fluency in English (minimum C1).
